Who is Benjamin Bolger? He is a college and graduate school admissions consultant who has overcome his dyslexia to obtain at least ten masters' degrees and one doctorate, even though he still only reads at a fifth grade level. His degrees are in fields as diverse as sociology, urban planning, education, and real estate development. His personal websites are here and here. Is Benjamin Bolger a polymath? Undoubtedly, but why? Since we still have a ways to go before arriving at a comprehensive definition of the modern polymath, we'll just say that anyone with eleven advanced degrees is a polymath. We'll call it the Bolger exception.
